Intense Conditioning Guinea Pigs Needed!

Posted on 15 November 2009

If you haven’t heard about Intense Conditioning you should have!

I’m going to be relaunching it next year but need some more testimonials and so I’m on the hunt for some more Guinea Pigs.

intense conditioning workouts

I’m looking for 5 men and 5 women to start the program on Monday January 4th for 12 weeks. If you are going on holiday for a couple of weeks or are going to email me loads of excuses why you can’t do this and can’t do that, please don’t apply.

Flexibility with programming is built into Intense Conditioning but I do NOT want people who are going to email me every 5 minutes asking if they can change this and change that.

You need access to kettlebells or dumbbells and if you can get to a gym with barbell it’s useful but not necessary unless you’re strong already, and you need to not be averse to doing running intervals of 200-400m plus a nasty little test at the start.

There are rules which MUST be adhered to if you want to be eligible for the competition of winning 6 weeks fitness mentoring from me.

The winner will get training and nutrition programming from me for 6 weeks which I usually charge £120 for.

Now given that the program is not a ‘build muscle, burn fat’ program it will not only be about who loses the most fat although if you do things properly, this will happen and fast.

The winner will be the one who I judge to have performed best doing the following:

- Improves the most in the tests (although I am aware that it’s not particularly difficult to go easy on the first test!)

- Improves their physique the most (don’t expect massive amounts of muscle gain – it’s not that kind of program although you can expect greater muscle density and minimal body fat)

- Blogs the most and keeps posting notes and links on Facebook and Twitter (there will be guidelines for this)

- Makes the biggest improvements in their attitude to training and goes through the biggest mind shift during the course of the program.

- Makes the most referrals leading to sign ups for the program (I’ll show you how you can actually easily make commissions just by creating simple links on Clickbank and sticking them in your blog posts so you actually get paid to do the program!)

- You must post front and side photos and measurements at the start of the program with the day’s (or day before) newspaper every single week.

If you are not willing to post photos on the internet which I can use for marketing purposes please do not apply to be an Intense Conditioning Guinea Pig!

There are no rules as to who can and can’t do it other than those mentioned above!intense conditioning workouts

This program is not for beginners but similarly you don’t need to be a machine to do it! You will become one over 12 weeks FACT.

You will be pushed beyond what you’ve done before but all with short, intense sessions so you must be willing to work very hard.

You must also be willing to pay attention to deload weeks and technique practice days as Intense Conditioning is not about just drilling yourself into the floor but integrates strength and conditioning for all round athletic ability.

If you are not willing to treat yourself like an athlete and become more like one, then please don’t apply!

If you’re up for this and are willing to stick it out for 12 weeks, following all the rules then please post who you are and why you will make the perfect Guinea Pig below including your email address so I can contact the winners!

Let’s get it on!!!!

Jon

    Hi Jon,
I am up for it. Just turned 40, pilates teacher, ironman triathlete, sports injury therapist, chi running coach and osteopath student. So I am pretty focused with my training, disciplined and used to progressive goal setting…. YET I have never really used weights or kettle bells… have minimal strength and power, my body fat is ok and i am usually in shape, more so towards the middle of race season but for the training time I do I should be better. So its down to the training. Raced tough guy winter a couple of times and love the assault course at the end but want have a more hardened approach to my strengh and athletic program. Even with a few tweeks and I can change my body quite quickly, but that has really been thru luck rather than programmed commitment. I think 12 week before and after photos of an Ironman triathlete will have massive marketing potential for you with endurance athletes

    Hey Jon,
I would gladly be a guinea pig. I have gone through the Intense conditioning program once already (Aug-October) and I was amazed at the gains I made in conditioning and strength. I have told several people with like minded fitness goals about the program and they look at me like I am crazy when I tell them I ran so many 400m that I almost puked and it was AWESOME! I think it would be great to show that a busy dad/husband with 2 young kids could do this program and make considerable gains without neglecting his job or family. The workouts are intense and very quick. I seriously wouldn’t have stuck with the program if I had to spend more than 45 minutes in the gym or on the track.

I would love to be a guinea pig (again) I was so focused during your program last time, and although I still train a lot, have lost my way in terms of solid goals and consistancy. I also felt that I achieved heaps in the way of strength and conditioning and some of my own clients commented a lot on my changed physique over the 12 weeks. I am a mum of 5 kids who loves training hard and I want to get my 6 pack back!! (I did have one at the end of the last 12 week intense conditioning program.) Lately I haven’t done anything in the way of strength training, so would love to focus on this again combined with hard conditioning drills.

    Hi Jon,

I would love to be a guninea pig. I suffer from pcos and i’m struggling to lose weight and not enjoying the side effects that come with it! I’m very motivated in regards to fitness and clean eating and after reading your testimonials feel this would be a great opportunity to get me on track to my goals. I’m also a qualified personal trainer but don’t feel I have the right to train other people when I am struggling with my weight so hopefully that would get me on track for that too. I have my own dumbells and kettlebells to use and also access to a gym. Thanks

  5. Jonathan Doherty says:

Hey, I would love to be a guinea pig. I have struggled with my weight for years and would love to achieve my fat loss goals with a program like this. I train regualary but think it would help me immensly if I had something to follow to the T. I have tried several different diets and workouts without real results. I’m willing to push myself really hard and very motivated. I’m a electrican and work physicaly in my job and currently train several times a week in the gym, but would like to have consistency with this. Cheers

  6. Christopher says:

    Hi Jon,

I’d love to do Intense Conditioning for your cause …. And mine! My strength is above average, but my conditioning is sorely lacking, and this would be the kick up the butt I need! Further, I think doing this would be great as a ’study’ to see how effective this training is compared to my effective, but generally less intense approach!

Last year was Muscle in a Month, I can’t think of a better gift than to go crazy with Intense Conditioning and see an equally amazing transformation in my performance. (Which will make it easier to keep up with my kids!)

  7. Clement says:

    hi jon,

i’m a great admirer of your work and would be delighted to be a “guinea pig”, for want of a better word! i’m an 18 year old high school male from Singapore and have been participating actively in sports for some time now. since i was 11, i have been playing soccer very frequently. i’ve also won numerous awards in the 800m, 1500m and 4.2km cross country events in every of my previous schools’ age categories.

however, only when i joined my high school football (soccer) team last year did i realise how unept i was. i couldn’t challenge others in the air for the ball, didn’t have the strength or stamina to press the opposition as intensely as me, my teammates and coach would like or, most worryingly, have the speed to get to the ball first or burst past the opposition defenders. in short, i found out that i was weak and unfit. i didn’t play a single competitive fixture and was cut from the team at the beginning of this year, before the season. this blow really shattered my confidence, but i always believe that setbacks will only serve to make you a better person. i’ve been trying to improve my strength, speed and edge in the air ever since and perhaps get back into the team in february next year, but so far improvements have been minimal. i really hope your intense conditioning programme can help me to build up my strength and fitness. even if i do not succeed in getting into the team, at least i know that my physical and mental gains will have been substantial and would have benefitted anyway (not that i’m giving myself an option to fail!). i’m no stranger to endurance and will definitely get through your programme, no matter how torturous the workouts may be! it would also be good that i’ll be getting social support as i believe it is crucial to success.

also, i aim to improve on my pullup (so far my record is a measely 5) and standing broad jump (i can only reach 220cm at best) scores. since your intense conditioning programme serves to improve peoples’ overall fitness level, i’m sure these would also be gained as by-products of my results as well.

  8. Boycie says:

    Hi Jon,
I would love to and NEEEED to be a guinea pig for your program! I will be 39 in a couple of weeks – I DO NOT WANT TO BE A FAT AND FRUMPY FORTY!!!! – and while I do exercise and try to eat clean, I still struggle with cravings and binge eating!! I need to lose about 50lbs to get healthy and also because I want to compete in a year’s time in a figure/fitness competition, and could really use the extra intense conditioning to get and keep me in the right mindset and really achieve my goals. I have already set myself a goal and have a blog going for myself (that one person reads if I’m lucky!), and I have lost some fat and lbs already and am down to just a bit of agave nectar with my porridge, but I find my biggest challenge is finding someone I can really be accountable to, who will happily kick my a** when it’s needed – I don’t have that at the moment which is probably why I slip now and again and give in to the binge.

Also I am studying to become a personal trainer and nutritionist because I want to spread the word and get everyone I meet into a fit and healthy lifestyle, and would be more than happy to refer your program to as many people as possible!

At this point I really need someone to push me in the right direction, and keep nudging me until I’m in the right pace mentally and physically – I love to work out and I LOVE intense…but it’s hard to push yourself THAT far – it always helps to have someone else give you that extra shove!!

I hope you will take me on as your guinea pig – my body thanks you!!! :)

  9. Tina MacDonald says:

I would love to be a guinea pig for you. I am not a beginner, but not exactly intermediate level yet either. I am willing to work hard and do whatever you ask as I want 2010 to be the year where I get my best female body. You can abuse me and use me as much as you want as long as that means getting me in to top shape through your expertise.

I have lost 34 pounds in 2 1/2 months recently and was desperate enough to do this on an Isagenix eating program which helped motivate me to go further. Now, I want to not only lose weight but gain some muscle and get fit in the process using wholesome, nutritional food, not just shakes and one main meal a day. By April 14th, I want to reach my goal of 18% bodyfat or somewhere around 134 pounds.

I want to be an inspiring healthy person to other people just like you are so they will be equally motivated to get healthy and get into the best shape that they can. There are too many people walking around who are unhealthy and unfit already. We all need to be inspirations for them.

Thanks, Jon, for this opportunity to express my willingness to be used. LOL :)

    Hi Jon!!

I would really like to do this. In 2000 I was an invalid, could not walk or move. Since than a lot has changed, as a result I got better for 90%, and became a fitness instructor, after that I slowly found my way, and finally became a kettlebell instructor this summer. Today I decided to start out on my own not slow and safe, but just quit my job and go a head with my many plans. And than your email came,I love to push myself to the limits:)

  11. Guy Bedard says:

    Hi Jon-

I’m 51 years young and live on the prairies of Canada. I’m not new to working out or hard work for that matter. I live on a farm with animals and this provides me opportunity to work very hard. My major problem is that I don’t follow an eating program to match my efforts at work or working out. I eat a lot of junk food that is quick to round up and consume. So this keeps me sloppy around the waist.

With the winter months I have less work to do outside and more time I can devote and commit to the 12 weeks of coaching. With a coaching program I would be more suceptable to following a practice and eating regimen that I have time to commit to and work with. The end result would be a healthier and stronger me for spring time 2010 and you would have an awesome testimonial from an ‘old fart’ from the Canadian Prairies.

  13. Patricia says:

    Hey Jon,

This would be something that I would totally be into…I love trying new things and ramping up my routine…pick me…pick me :O)

  14. Grace says:

I would love to do this. I am in pretty good shape, already toned and not overweight. Are you looking for somebody like that?

    Grace

  15. Doug says:

    Hey Jon,

I’d love to be one of your guinea pigs. I’m 53 and have been through the fitness wars. In my late 20’s and early 30’s I was a fitness fanatic. I loved to run, do aerobics, ride my bike and lift weights. Then I met the love of my life and let go for awhile. Since then I’ve been in and out of shape. This past year I made it a point to stay in shape. I’ve gone through a couple of programs since November of last year where I went down from 190+ lbs at greater than 30% body fat to 145 lbs at 7% bodyfat. Unfortunately, since this past September, I’ve gone through a series of events (flu, achilles tendinitis, & a cut artery on my hand) which have prevented me from settling into any kind of consistency. As I went through this period I’ve also put on a bit of weight. I’m now about 160 lbs at 15% body fat. (To begin correcting this I’m going through a 28 day rapid fat loss program which I just started a few days ago).

Anyway, I’m a self starter, good at following directions and at making small tweaks to a program on my own to accommodate my needs. I also have an old style home gym (no machines) that includes kettlebells (12kg through 32kg pairs), olympic weights with assorted bars (even a trap bar), fixed dumbbells, a power cage. sandbags, sled, among other things.

Finally, one of the programs I partipated in this year required me to post to a blog daily with pictures so it’s something I’m comfortable in doing. If you’re interested I can send you the before and after picture of that program.

Please consider me as a serious candidate for your program.

    Thanks,
    Doug

  16. Geoff L. says:

    Hi Jon,

I have been following your workouts and tips for some time now. I am a 23 year old ex-college football player, now turned boxer who works hard and is disciplined to achieve my goals. I would be extremely interested in being a guinea pig for your 12 week workout. I consider myself in top shape but am never satisfied. I believe this level of commitment can help me take my fitness, health, and attitude to the next level.

Please consider me as a candidate who will work hard and follow the routines to the T.

    Thanks for your consideration.

    Geoff

    Hi Jon

Not aching too much after Sunday – thank you!! A little in the lower back, but in a GOOD way!!

I will play for 12 weeks. I want to be where I was about 3 years ago.

You know that I have had a very stressful time and terrible circumstances which have led me to take a back seat to my training and focus on delivering it instead.

I now not only want to but need to improve myself once more. Because I want to prove to myself that I can do it!!

I have specific goals to achive and I am aiming for a slightly softer ‘Cee’ look!

I’d like to lose fat off the legs (wouldn’t every woman!) which is my trouble spot. Have that smooth falt stomach I had a few years bcak once again!!

I will blog and FB and put links up (love click bank :o ))

I hope you will consider me for this Jon. And I have access to a gym now if rowing is required!! I do hate running will but will do it for results!!!
